We had a great time at the Gulf Shores public beach last night. Ron and I wanted to photograph birds along shore. But there were some young guys out there cutting up the surf with their skim boards. They looked so great we asked permission to photograph them and they turned out to be extremely nice. We thought they must be from Michigan or something because the water was still very cold from last week's freeze. But "no" they are from Gulf Shores! Dakota Caodwell, Austin Fulmer & Logan Canan. Thanks Guys!

We are now offering Aerial photography! It's awsome for homes & businesses, especially if you are near the water. It shows off your property beautifully. And Ron LOVED going up in this little antique Barn-Stormer. He got some great pics & he can't wait for his next assignment. Ron's pilot, Bar Eisennhauer, with "the Bird of Paradise" out of Gulf Shores Airport was really nice and very accomodating. Although small (two passenger) this vintage 1940 Taylorcraft BL-65 works best for photogrphers he says. There is just one wing located above the cockpit so that it does not block the view of the camera. But Bar also offers offers fun Historic Biplane rides for multiple passengers. Fun for Baby and You!

Ron and I played with & photographed our grandaughter during her weekly "workout" at the Little Gym in Daphne. What an awsome program for children of all ages!! The instructor is top of the line. With her creative supervision they learn to control their bodies while they play with fabulous, safe, gym equipment, learn to follow instructions & interact with children their age. Personal Touch Painting

We couldn't be more proud of our daughter Bethany's artistic accomplishments. Just this year she joined our studio to create beautiful painted works of art from the portraits we take. We still use artists from our imaging lab in Missouri for paintings, and they are wonderful. Previous blogs have introduced you to our grandaughter Tessa. FYI: she's better know as "Pie" which is short for Sweetie Pie. Her Daddy is responsible for her cute nickname. Chris is a Personal Trainer at Encore Rehabilitation Center in Gulf Shores. Bethany is a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant at the same facility, full time Mommy, and part-time Artist.

Southern Edge Dance Studio

Our new daughter-in-law Mia runs a dance studio in Fairhope AL. She is wonderful with children of all ages and teaches tap, ballet, modern dance, and hip-hop. She also has a "Dancing Grannies" class. Eric got Married!!

February 7th, 2009 our son (and his boxer Bailey) married Mia Lynn Spicuzza. She's a sweet, beautiful and talented girl, we just LOVE her and couldn't be happier for both of them.

We photographed much of Eric & Mia's wedding portraits before the event at Fort Morgan and then at the beach. You'll noice many of those images in our wedding section on our website - they turned out fabulous!Take a peek.

The wedding was was indoors (not our usual venue) so we wanted to take as many images ahead of time as we could. That relieved some of the pressure from the actual wedding day portraits. As you can see we had an awful lot of fun. And FYI: Those fabulous flowers arrangements were done by Marcia with Faux Flowers 4 You. She was wonderful!! Ron and I are grandparents for the first time. It's wonderful! And all you grandparents out there know exactly what I mean. Tessa is 16 months old, and already knows how to work the camera!

What a Great Summer we Had!

Ron (your photographer) and I (his wife & partner, Renee) had so much fun in 2008 photographing & getting to know really, really, great folks from all over the country. We think they had fun too! Best of all we created fabulous portraits together which you can view on our website. You will be able to view some of their comments about us in our blog through out the year.

I'm excited about our new blog because now we can share images with you that we love, but couldn't post in the "serious" part of our website. Here's one of my favorites... Sometimes we get a little crazy with our clients, especially if we think they need some inspiration for a great photo. Ron (the guy with the light meter hanging around his neck) was trying to inspire these pretty girls to do the "jump" picture.
